Tuition Programmes
Students are taught in pleasant well-equipped classrooms in groups of
normally no more than 12 in the mornings, 14 in the afternoons. They attend for three hours per day, fifteen
hours per week, either in the morning or afternoon. There are also evening
classes on two evenings per week from 6.30 - 8.30. All courses feature
a balance of the essential language skills: reading, writing, listening
and speaking, particular attention being paid to grammar, pronunciation
and the development of vocabulary. We use up to date teaching methods
and materials and tutors have a range of established and contemporary
textbooks from which to plan their lessons. All classes are conducted
in English and only English is to be spoken on the School premises,
to ensure that students develop an expertise in the language more quickly
and naturally.
Before they are enrolled, students must first of all complete an assessment form, which will give us their level. We will then confirm that we have a class to suit at the time required. The assessment form can be completed online or in person at the School. The levels are as follows:
| Beginners |
Pre Intermediate |
First Certificate |
| Basic |
Intermediate |
Advanced |
| Elementary |
Upper Intermediate |
Proficiency |
Conversation Classes
From 12.30 - 1.30pm Monday - Friday there is a CONVERSATION HOUR to
supplement the morning classes. Students may enrol for the additional hour
when they reserve their place or may pay weekly in advance.
The emphasis is of course on speaking but also of importance is listening in
order to communicate with other students.

Students may borrow books from the School, which are mainly graded readers
corresponding to the students' own level of English.

Leaving Certificates

We can issue students with a leaving certificate when they have completed
their studies, setting out the number of weeks attended and the level attained.
Please give 24 hours notice if you require a certificate, stating any special
requirements.
